Arecibo Observatory Home - The Arecibo Observatory is part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center (NAIC), a national research center operated by Cornell University under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation (NSF). As the site of the world's largest single-dish radio telescope, the Observatory is recognized as one of the most important national centers for research in radio astronomy, planetary radar and terrestrial aeronomy.

Institute of Tropical Forestry - The International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) is part of the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The Institute is dedicated to tropical forestry on an international level.

Tropical Atmospheric Sciences Center - NASA - EPSCoR's Tropical Atmospheric Sciences Center (TASC), is to study land and sea interactions with atmospheric compounds in tropical areas and climates. Atmosphere Interactions, Atmosphere-Ocean Interactions, and Atmosphere-Terrestrial Interactions.

Jobos Bay, near Aguirre - The Jobos Bay NERR new facilities. Funding provided by NOAA. The Center consists of an administrative office, an information center, a conference and exhibit area, and a laboratory facility for researchers.

USDA-ARS, Tropical Agriculture Research Station, Mayagüez, PR - The Tropical Agriculture, Research Station purposes are to conduct fundamental research on tropical plants, especially those of economic importance to the continental United States, to conduct studies on crops of major importance in the tropics, and to conduct research on crops of interest to Puerto Rican agriculture.
