Curacao is an island of tropical charms with
sophisticated European flair. Long-standing ties to Holland are reflected in
rows of crayola-colored townhouses with red tile roofs and rococo-style facades
that line the streets of Wilemstad, the capital. See every species of marine life native to Curacao's
waters displayed at the Sea Aquarium. Curacao's 38 beaches are varied in size,
but all share the same amazingly clear turquoise water, while more than 68
quality dive sites with underwater visibility up to 150 feet make Curacao one
of the Caribbean's finest dive islands.
Curacao is the largest of the Netherland antilles, 38 miles long and 2 to 7.5
miles wide, located just 35 miles north of Venezuela and 42 miles east of
Aruba. The population of 150,000 is made up of 55 nationalities.
